The five basic principles
Some of the five basic principles that would form the basis of my own ethical system include Simplicity, Unity, Non-violence, Self-sacrifice, and Integrity. Simplicity would apply to me because I try to find the simplest, most direct, and most effective way to do things. Unity would apply to me because I try to maintain a unity of purpose and interest in all my activities. Its weaknesses are that I tend to take things far too seriously.
Non-violence would apply to me because I try to avoid conflict and conflict and I try not to let others do my talking for me. Its strengths are that I am encouraged to see things through the eyes of others. I pay attention to the emotions and the feelings of others, and I try to always do things that are in the long-term interests of others. Its weaknesses are that I am often not able to get the full range of emotions and feelings from those around me and that I do not always take the right actions for the long-term interests of others. I try to see things through the eyes of others, but I am not always able to achieve that.
